Uganda’s Ministry of Health on Monday reported 14 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 212.
According to the Health Ministry, all the new cases are contacts to previously confirmed truck drivers who were all under quarantine at the time of testing.
Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, Uganda’s Minister of Health, said that the country has so far conducted a total of 1,739 tests.
“Five positive foreign truck drivers (all Tanzanians) were handed over to their country of origin,” she added.
