Report: Chad detects first COVID-19 case

Chad has registered its first case of COVID-19 this Thursday, local news site Alwihda Info quoted Chadian government.

The case is a passenger of Moroccan nationality travelling from Douala, Cameroon.

The patient is being monitored by the medical service, according to a statement by the government, without giving further details.

Before the first case was detected, the Chadian government had closed the country’s international airports from Wednesday, to stop the spread of the virus.
