Morocco’s Ministry of Health on Monday announced nine new COVID-19 cases, bringing its total number of confirmed cases to 37.

All the new cases except one came from foreign countries, the ministry said in a statement.

They were recorded in the cities of Meknes, Fes, Marrakech, Agadir, Rabat and Casablanca, it said.

The condition of all the new cases was stable, it added.

Morocco has decided to close restaurants, clubs, cinemas and gyms, as well as mosques, in a bid to stem the COVID-19, or novel coronavirus.
