CAF announces increase in prize money for CAF Women’s Champions League

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has increased the prize money on offer for clubs participating in this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League to 2.35 million U.S. dollars.

The figure represents a 52 percent increase from the previous amount of 1.55 million U.S dollars.

The winner of the eight-team competition will now take home 600,000 U.S dollars. The runner-up and third-placed team will receive 400,000 U.S dollars and 350,000 U.S dollars, respectively. The team that finishes fourth will also receive 300,000 U.S. dollars.

The prize money also extends to teams competing in the group stage. Teams that finish third and fourth will receive 200,000 U.S. dollars and 150,000 U.S. dollars, respectively.

Morocco will host this year’s tournament between November 9 and November 23.
