Chinese construction company, China Jiangxi Corporation for International Economic and Technical Cooperation, has officially handed over Kenya’s Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital to the Kenyan Government.

The project which was financed through the Concessional Loan of Chinese Government to Kenya in 2011 is a modern comprehensive hospital consisting of clinical, research, emergency, precaution and healthcare functions.

Kenyatta University hospital is expected to provide medical and health services for the whole nation. It will relieve the burden of the current two existing central hospitals in Kenya. The hospital is expected to start its operations in August
