Egypt’s Mohamed Salah shortlisted for Best FIFA Men’s Player award
Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah has been shortlisted for The Best FIFA Men’s player award after his outstanding performances for Liverpool in the past 12 months.
The 26-year-old is joined by Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and seven other’s top performers from the various leagues and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Salah enjoyed a dream debut season for Liverpool after his transfer from Italian side AS Roma, scoring 44 times and clinching the English Premier League Golden Boot award with 34 League goals.
He played two games for Egypt in Russia and scored two goals, even though his side didn’t make it past the Group stage.
FIFA also shortlisted candidates for the Best Women’s Player award, Best FIFA Men’s coach and Best FIFA Women’s coach.
