Algerian football star Riyad Mahrez is set to complete a move to Manchester City later this week, Sky Sports reports.

The 27-year-old is expected to undergo a medical exam in the days ahead, as reports indicate Leicester City has already accepted a £60m bid from the Citizens for the player.

The price is way below the £80m price tag The Foxes had pinned on their star man in January, putting off City’s interest.

City had lodged a £50m bid in the January window, which was turned down. The midfielder went on to submit a transfer request in a bid to force through a move, but that only earned him temporary banishment from the team.

Mahrez joined Leicester City in 2014 from French side Le Havre for a fee believed to be in the region of £400,000.

The Algerian was part of the Leicester team that won the Premier League in the 2015-16 season, and was voted the Algerian Footballer of the Year, the PFA Players’ Player of the Year, and was a member of the Premier League PFA Team of the Year.

Since 2014, Mahrez has made 139 appearances for the Foxes, scoring 39 goals and notching 29 assists.
