Talk Africa: Conversation with Patrice Trovoada

Read < 1 minute

Sao Tome and Principe may be small in size but the country has big ambitions. Traditionally known for cocoa, coffee and coconut exports, the country now seeks to transform into the next logistical hub, a tourism heaven and a bustling blue economy.

This week on Talk Africa we speak to the man who wants to make all this happen under his leadership, Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada.

The tiny island nation of Sao Tome and Principe is nestled in the Gulf of Guinea, off the shores of West Africa. With just over 200,000 people, the country has the second smallest population on the continent. But what Sao Tome & Principe lacks in population, it makes up for in picturesque surroundings, with its beautiful beaches and rain forests that give the country a unique edge in tourism potential.
