Ivorian star Yaya Toure wins third PL title with Manchester City

Cote d’Ivoire football star Yaya Toure has won his third Premier League winner’s medal after Manchester City were crowned the 2017/18 PL champions, following a shock defeat inflicted on Manchester United by bottom-placed West Bromwich Albion.

City won the premiership on Sunday without kicking a ball after West Brom beat United 1-0 at Old Trafford, with five games still to play.

The Citizens have now won the Premier League title three times in the past seven seasons, more than any other club in that period.

Toure won the title before with City in the 2011/12 and 2013/14 seasons.

The 34-year-old however found game-time limited to come by this season, making only seven appearances in the PL for City.

He did not score a goal in that period, but managed an assist.

Toure is out of contract at the end of the season, but is yet to make any announcements on his future.
