Kenya and Tanzania have ended a two-month long dispute that has resulted in heavy financial losses for both countries.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Tanzanian counterpart stepped in to appease what was spiraling into a full-blown diplomatic dispute, one that led to numerous export bans from both sides.
Following that presidential intervention, Dar es Salaam has now re-opened its borders to Kenyan products including unprocessed foods, milk products and cigarettes. While Nairobi has allowed Liquid Petroleum Gas from Tanzania back into the country.
Kenya has also lifted the ban on Tanzanian wheat.
