On Sunday, the Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, Delta State, Nigeria, HRM Wilson Oharisi III commenced activities to mark his 25th coronation anniversary with a demand on the people of his kingdom to have trust in God.

Stating the charge in his sermon during the thanksgiving ceremony at All Saints Cathedral Church, Ughelli, Rev Canon G.O.C Amrevwobrise noted that only God alone could confer the status of righteousness on anyone on the basis of faith in him.

Reiterating that “faith is trust in God who cannot fail. Our trust in God must be implicit, it must be total and unshakeable,” local media reported.

During the ceremony, HRM Oharisi III thanked God for his life, adding that the kingdom was blessed by God with prominent sons and daughters who had successfully distinguished themselves in their respective fields.

With peace already in his kingdom, he urged the people to sustain it – saying that development could only be achieved in a peaceful atmosphere.

The monarch also turned his attention to the government, urging them to site development projects that would provide employment for the people. Whilst also addressing the youth on rejecting actions that would scare investors from the kingdom.
