Read < 1 minute

A joint Crop Molecular Biology Laboratory has official opened at a Kenyan university.

The Laboratory jointly funded by the Chinese government, Nanjing Agricultural University and Kenya is based at Egerton University. It’s the most advanced molecular biology research Centre in the entire East African region. It seeks to foster more researchers in Africa who can master modern molecular biology theories and techniques. It also aims to enhance the genetic improvement in horticultural crops and other crops in Kenya.

China hopes to send instructors to the laboratory for training and guidance.
