After getting permission from the high court, about 14 opposition parties and dozens of civis society organizations have taken to the streets of Zimbabwe to protests the introduction of bond notes this year October.
“Introduction of bond notes is fast approaching and peoples’ views are being ignored by the government which is pushing to have the notes printed against their views” said Trust Nhubu of the #Tjamuka activist group to the New Zimbabwe.
Everything came to a standstill in Zimmabwe’s capital, Harare on Wednesday morning after hundreds of citizens and unemployed graduates and youths demonstrated against the introduction of bond notes.
According to the New Zimbabwe, the graduates are demanding for the 2.2 million jobs that President Mugabe promised them in 2013.
