Africa’s growth projected to hit 3.7% this year
The African Development Bank (AfDB) projects Africa’s economy to grow by 3.7% this year as resilient private consumption and investment offsets the effect of a decline in commodity prices and global headwinds.
The AfDB announced this in the Zambian capital, Lusaka, where it was launching its latest regional economic outlook.
The Bank also said growth could accelerate to 4.5% in 2017 if commodity prices recovered and the global economy strengthened.
