Uganda’s Parliament introduces bill to stop members from paying levies

Uganda’s Parliament is under the spotlight for proposing legislation that would exempt legislators from paying taxes on their salaries.

The latest batch of MPs was recently sworn-in for a five year term after general elections held in February, and they have moved fast to put measures which – if approved – will exempt them from paying some taxes. CCTV’s Leon Ssenyange, reports.
