South African retiree to fly 80 rhinos to Australia to escape poachers
A retired South African sales executive who moved to Australia 30 years ago plans to airlift 80 rhino to that Australia in an attempt to save the species from poachers. Ray Dearlove says it’ll take about four years to get all 80 overseas.
He has a lot of red tape to go through in order to pull this off and will need to secure at least sixty thousand U.S Dollars before the rhino can get to the destination.
Dearlove’s plan is to relocate the animals to an undisclosed safari park in Australia, where they will later become a ‘seed bank’ to breed future generations.
