Burundi Peace Mediation: Tanzania Foreign Minister visits Rwanda

Tanzania’s Foreign Minister has stepped up the pressure on East African countries to try to find a peaceful solution to the crisis in Burundi.

Augustine Mahiga visited Rwanda for talks, and said that Burundi’s claims that Rwanda is behind the crisis were “a diversionary tactic”.

Instead he wants all governments to focus on peace talks.
