Liberia’s President in Kenya for bi-lateral talks and to attend the World Trade Organization meeting

Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was accorded full state honours by her host the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday morning. The visiting Head of State received a 21-gun salute and inspected a guard of honour mounted by the Kenya Army. President Kenyatta and President Sirleaf held a one-on-one meeting and later joined their delegations for bilateral talks.

During President Sirleaf’s visit, she will join Kenyans at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday in celebrating the country’s national holiday Jamhuri Day, and make a second visit to State House to grace a State Luncheon hosted by the President and First Lady. On Monday, she will attend the first edition of the International Forum on Women in Business and finally on Tuesday, she will attend the opening of the World Trade Organization meeting in Nairobi.
