Report says HIV infections dropped by 35 % between 2000 and 2014

More than 500 delegates from 150 countries are attending the 18th International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The biennial ICASA meeting has brought together health workers, policy makers, people living with HIV and others committed to ending the pandemic.

Latest reports indicate that between 2000 and 2014, new HIV infections dropped from 3.1 million to 2 million, which is a reduction of 35%.
