#FeesMustFall campaign continues in South Africa
South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma will meet student and university leaders on Friday in a bid to break a stalemate over high fees that has sparked nationwide campus protests and chaos at parliament on Wednesday
According to a statement released by the President ( https://www.thepresidency.gov.za/pebble.asp?relid=20840), he reiterates that government fully understands the pressure and difficulties that students coming from poor households and the working class face with regards to high university fees.
The President says,”nobody disagrees with the message that students from poor households are facing financial difficulties and possible exclusion”, and he wants to find a solution. The statement states.
