Tens of thousands of angry Ethiopians went out on the streets of Addis Ababa to denounce what they have called inhuman acts of terrorism by ISIL militants in Libya.

At the demonstration, the Ethiopian Prime minister Hailemariam Desalegn told the crowd Ethiopia will fight against the terrorist group ISIL, together with the international community.

He also said Ethiopians should be seeking opportunities at home instead of choosing to migrate in search better lives.

The Libyan branch of IS on Sunday released videos of the men being beheaded and another group being shot.

The killings have been condemned in Ethiopia and throughout the world.

IS and other jihadist groups are active in many towns in Libya, which has been torn by civil conflict since last year.

Ethiopia’s government has confirmed that the people shown being killed in the IS videos were Ethiopian migrant workers.
