Tragedy struck Indian cricket on Monday when a 20-year-old player died following an on-field collision with a team mate during a club match in Kolkata on Friday.

Four months after Australia cricketer Phillip Hughes died after being hit by a bouncer, Ankit Keshri, battled for three days before passing away at a Kolkata hospital. Doctors say the right handed batsman died as a result of a heart attack. Keshri’s brother sat mourning outside the hospital as family and teammates expressed pain and disbelief at the loss, as yet another mother was left to mourn the loss of a man who was just playing the game he loved.
