Museveni Justifies his Decision to Sign the Anti-Gay Law
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has defended his signing of an anti-gay law, a day after it was struck down by the country’s constitutional court. President Museveni insists he agreed with the contents of the bill. Uganda’s constitutional court ruled it was passed by Parliament without the appropriate support from lawmakers. It was initially signed by President Museveni in February to widespread international condemnation. CCTV’S Isabel Nakirya reports
