Small scale fishing struggling to stay afloat in Mozambique

Read < 1 minute

South Africa’s Agriculture Minister has announced plans to institute an independent-audit into the controversial allocation of fishing-rights. The move comes amid an outcry, from small scale “subsistence-fishermen” who claim their livelihoods are being threatened by what they describe as a flawed process of allocating fishing quotas.
