Chinese companies in Kenya embrace Corporate Social Responsibility

Read < 1 minute

In the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, more and more Chinese companies are getting involved with Corporate Social Responsibility.

Sino-Africa firefly – a charity recently founded by a Chinese Professor living in Kenya Lei Wang – has been acting as a platform for Chinese philanthropists and businesses to visit some of the most vulnerable Kenyans, and donate much needed aid.

The latest recipients, are the residents of a village in one of Africa’s biggest slums Kibera, whose houses were razed to the ground.

They were provided with foodstuffs and other essentials by GGT group China, which manufactures essential products like diapers and mosquito repellents.
