Youths recycle old mobile phones in Niger

A significant increase in mobile phone use in Africa has seen a rise in electronic waste especially in large cities.

However, a group of youth in Niger’s capital Niamey have discovered economic benefits out of this waste, collecting and recycling old mobile phone parts, then selling them for profit.
