Cote d’Ivoire’s football star Yaya Toure has expressed his love for horror movies, saying he could at times watch four or five in the same day.

The four-time African Footballer of the Year made the revelations in an interview with BBC, saying that he preferred to stay at home after training sessions just to watch the movies.

“I love horror movies to be honest,” the 33-year-old said.

“Sometimes I’ll be able to watch four or five in the same day,” he added.

The Manchester City midfielder has been forced into the fringes this season by new manager Pep Guardola who took issue with the player’s agent’s criticism and demanded an apology.

Yaya announced his retirement from international duty in September after a 12-year spell with the Elephants, a time in which he was named the African Footballer of the Year four times, and also managed to captain Cote d’Ivoire to the AFCON title.

Asked if he had any pre-match rituals, Yaya revealed that he always wears his left shoe before the right one.
