World class masters training dozens of ninjutsu players in Egypt
For Martial arts lovers, Ninjutsu takes the art of self-defense a step further. It combines combating styles with weapons use and that it exciting to many.
“Ninjutsu started as a martial art used in military battles. In it we use many kinds of fighting, punching, kicking, tying, suffocating, hitting nerve centers and breaking bones. Each of these art is a complete curriculum. As a sport because of the damage it could cause to an opponent, Ninjutsu is played in a Kata style, a performance of the methods taught.” said Tamer Talaat, Ninjutsu Trainer
There is no international federation in the sport, only a local organization in it’s foundation country. So those who are here to learn, are not seeking a global title or a medal. And as it could be dangerous to train with real weapons, wooden mocks are used instead.
This week these Ninjutsu students got to get trained by one of the most experienced masters in the world. Filip Bartos is 13 dan black belt trainer, he comes twice a year to check on the progress of the sport in Egypt and pass on some of his techniques.
“They were beginners, now they are advanced students with black belts and they already open schools in Alexandria, Hurghada and Suez, so our advanced students are spreading over all Egypt and opening new schools. I believe in the future because we have systematic working twice a year, we will have a lot of good students like the Japanese.” Said Filip Bartos, Ninjutsu Master Trainer
The sport was first introduced six years ago in Egypt ,making the country the first hub for Ninja arts in the Arab World. Today it is trained in four Cities in Egypt, and more students join every year.
