Cameroon was on Sunday bundled out of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia after a 2-0 loss to World Champions Germany.

The Indomitable Lions finished last in Group B with a single point after managing one draw and two losses.

Belgian tactician Hugo Broos lamented his side’s lack of goals, saying his biggest headache was the search for a clinical striker who would net goals for the team.

“We’re searching, we’re searching, we’re searching and we keep on searching but you have to be able to find one. Someone who scores goals. “Yes, it’s very easy to say you haven’t got players who score (but) you have to find them,” he said.

The Africa Cup of Nations champions will now shift their focus on World Cup qualification in a tough group that also has African giants Nigeria, Algeria and Zambia.

The Indomitable lions currently lie second in the group with two points from two games. Nigeria leads the pack with six points, with Zambia and Algeria tied on a point each.

Cameroon is set to play Nigeria in August, knowing a loss would jeopardize their chances of qualification for the Russia 2018 showdown.

Portugal will play Chile on Wednesday 28 in the first Confederations Cup semifinal match, with Germany playing Mexico the following day.
