“You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words.” Teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg told world leaders during the United Nations Climate Action Summit

The 16-year-old Swedish climate activist while speaking also asked global leaders “How dare you pretend that this can be solved with business as usual and some technological solutions.”

With tears in her eyes, she went on: “You are failing us. But young people are starting to understand your betrayal.”

Greta warned: “We will never forgive you,” and “we will not let you get away with this.”

Closing her speech, she said: “Change is coming, whether you like it or not.”

Her speech was  followed by a speech from the Pope via video link.
