
Volvo Trucks to build 20 workshops, parts warehouse in E. Africa
Volvo Trucks has partnered with NECST Motors to increase the Volvo brand footprint in East Africa.
The deal will see investment in 20 new workshops across the region, a parts warehouse and an assembly line for Volvo trucks in Mombasa, Kenya. Volvo Trucks aims to become the number one premium truck brand in the region by introducing more of its trucks onto the roads. NECST Motors becomes the exclusive importer of Volvo trucks.
The investment is expected to create approximately 300 direct jobs and other indirect employment opportunities.
