Unifying Somalia: Puntland and Galmudug declare ceasefire after month-long conflict

After a month-long conflict, Somalia’s Puntland and Gal-mudug states have declared a ceasefire.

More than 45 people have been killed in clashes between the rival forces and around 90-thousand have fled their homes. The UN has praised the ceasefire as a positive step towards unifying central Somalia.
