Brendan Rodgers lost his Premier League return game as his Leicester City side fell to a 2-1 defeat to Watford on Saturday.

The 46-year-old took over from Claude Puel at the King Power on Tuesday, ending his 32-month stint at Celtic.

Watford took the lead in the 5th minute as talisman Troy Deeney nodded home a stinging Gerard Deulofeu cross.

The Foxes leveled in the 75th minute as striker Jamie Vardy outpaced Leicester’s defense to slot home calmly, setting up a tense finale.

Watford were rewarded for their energetic display late in stoppage time as Andre Gray fired home from a Deeney pass against the run of play.

The win will now boost Watford’s chances of qualifying for the Europa League, though a host of teams are still able to snatch the positions.
