Uganda’s bureau of standards turns to mobile phones for detection of counterfeit goods

Authorities in Uganda are cracking down on counterfeit goods with a new electronic verification system.

The country’s National Bureau of Standards has developed product verification system, which runs even on mobile phones, to weed out fake, and expired farm products.
