Ugandans on Twitter demand payment for Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic

Fresh from celebrating their return to the Africa Cup of Nations after 38 years, Ugandans were this week shocked by revelations that the coach that had led this historic return to Africa’s biggest football showpiece had not been paid his salaries for five months.

The Ugandan Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic is owed an accrued amount of $60,000 by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

FUFA confirmed owing the tactician money, and promised to work on paying him.

Following these revelations, Ugandan social media users have been up in arms demanding that Micho be paid the outstanding arrears.

Most express their gratitude to the coach for masterminding their return to AFCON, and want him to be paid for his services.
