Uganda: Transition to New Approach of Boosting Production

Uganda’s president Yoweri Museveni says his nation is still facing challenges competing in global markets, because a big percentage of farmers still practice subsistence agriculture. In his state of the Nation address, President Museveni said the sector would have grown more quickly, if more farmers were practicing commercial farming. As Isabel Nakirya reports, agriculture experts say the country must invest more in the sector, to boost the output of farmers.
