Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has invited all opposition candidates who lost to him in the election to attend his inauguration next week.
The invite comes after planned opposition protests in the country.
Media organisations were on Thursday banned from covering those demonstrations.
The demonstrations were called by opposition leader Kizza Besigye. It was to protest the election results, which Besigye says should be declared null and void. Authorities say Beisgye is a disruptive influence.
They’ve stationed security forces across Kampala to stop the protests.
