Uganda opposition officials dispute $1.7 million awarded to MPs

Civil society activists in Uganda are raising concerns about 1.7 million dollars that was given to government officials for their role in settling tax disputes with oil companies.

The cash reward was endorsed by president Yoweri Museveni but highly criticized across the political divide.
