Uganda cuts youth unemployment from 7.4% to 6.8% in 2015

More than 60 percent of Africa’s population are aged between 15 and 24 years old.

While this represents a huge workforce, more than half of them are illiterate or lack relevant skills for the current labour market sending unemployment rates to alarming levels.

In Uganda where the World Bank bank places 2015 youth unemployment levels at 6.8 percent, an improvement from 7.4 percent the previous year.
