Uganda Airlines reports 62% growth in revenue

Uganda Airlines recorded a 62 percent increase in revenues for the fiscal year ending June 2023.

The national carrier said it made 60 million U.S. dollars in the period, up from 36 million for fiscal year 2022.

CEO Jenifer Bamaturaki attributed the revenue growth to aggressive marketing and increased operational efficiency,

However, the 60 million U.S. dollars made was roughly 46.8 percent lower than the airline’s earnings target. The carrier also reported a 22 percent increase in losses compared to the 2022 fiscal year.
