Uber woes in Kenya, Egypt

Just like in Europe and Asia, Uber’s entry into Africa has not been without controversy.

A year after setting up shop in Nairobi, its operations have increased as business grows exponentially.

But this has not gone down well with local cab drivers who accuse Uber of unfair pricing practices.

In Egypt, dozens of Taxi drivers held a protest in Cairo, voicing their rage over Uber and other private companies.

The drivers claim that such big companies are driving them to bankruptcy.
