Twitter Trend: If Africa was a Bar! #IfAfricaWasABAR
Kenyans took to twitter on Tuesday with the hashtag #IfAfricaWasABAR . South Africa soon followed and the hashtag is growing. The hashtag offers a witty critique of Africa’s diverse countries and politics.
Africans from the continent are constantly challenging the “single story” that the mainstream media continues to fall back on, despite overwhelming evidence that Africa, like any other continent, is a robust collection of countries and people.
