Tunisia condemns deadly attack in Egypt
Tunisia on Saturday strongly condemned the deadly attack that targeted a tourist bus near the Giza pyramids in Egypt’s capital Cairo, Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Tunisian authorities denounced the Friday attack as “a cowardly terrorist attack,” according to a ministry statement.
“Tunisia supports all measures taken by the Egyptian authorities against terrorist threats to guarantee stability of Egypt and the security of its people as well as foreign guests,” the statement added.
Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui called on the international community to continue consolidating efforts and coordination to combat the scourge of terrorism, which poses a serious threat to international peace.
According to the Egyptian Interior Ministry, at least four people were killed and 10 others injured after a roadside bomb exploded near a bus carrying Vietnamese tourists close to the Giza pyramids.
