The Internet fulfills Kenyan woman’s wish to visit China
Photoshop and the Internet can be an interesting combo – just ask Seve Gat.
Gat, who is from Kenya, was so interested in visiting China that she started using Photoshop to realize her wish.
In a series of photos she posted on her personal Facebook account, Gat poses in front of a Kenyan Airways plane, saying “I have left the country to China.”
However, she used the photo editing software to create that picture.
In other photos, Gat is seen posing in front of the Great Wall and Beijing’s Temple of Heaven, a famous landmark in the capital.
But anything is possible on the Internet.
So when Gichuru, a Kenyan entrepreneur, saw Gat’s photos, he jumped in to help her fulfill her travel wish.
In his Facebook post, Gichuru encouraged all his friends to help Gat get to China.
“I like dreamers because I’m a dreamer and my weekend dream is your ticket to Hong Kong (or Beijing), China,” he wrote.
He further wrote, “If you were serious, I mean really serious, I have good news for you, get your passport ready because your dreams are about to come true.”
And it seems Gat will soon be en-route to China.
While she thanked Gichuru for fulfilling her dreams, Gat also warned others not to follow into a scam – she said someone else had opened a fake Facebook account.
But Gichuru has made it clear that he won’t be helping anyone else but Gat.
“To the rest, please don’t Photoshop yourself, it won’t work,” he said.
