An ambitious deal between Kenya and China may spell the end of the line for “the lunatic express” and lay the tracks for a new railway that will propel East Africa into the 21st century.
The 5 billion dollar agreement includes a new standard-gauge line from Mombasa to Malaba on Kenya’s border with Uganda.
