Tens feared dead in grisly road crash in Kenya
Tens of people are feared dead after a grisly accident involving multiple vehicles occurred at a deadly black spot in Kenya’s Western region.
Reports indicate that 13 vehicles were involved in the crash at Sachangwan, some crashed to pieces.
Local media report that a chase had ensued between a truck and road safety authorities, with the truck then ramming into oncoming vehicles and killing many people on the spot.
News of the crash broke as President Uhuru Kenyatta was leading the East African country in celebrating Independence Day, in which he called for caution on the roads.
Several deaths have been reported from accidents that occurred in Sachangwan, prompting the National Transport and Safety Authority to pin-point the area as a black-spot.
Most recently, seven musicians perished there on Saturday as they were travelling from a function.
