Tennis star Roger Federer launches child care centre in Malawi
Tennis star Roger Federer launched a children’s programme in Malawi on 19 July as part of his charity foundation.
The foundation in Lilongwe was launched to support early childhood development
He updated his Twitter account on how excited he was to be in Malawi for the first time.

In an interview with AFP News, Federer expressed how much he thought children are tomorrow’s future and how much he enjoyed supporting them and giving them an opportunity to go to school.

The world’s number two ranked player has worked alongside the charity Action Aid to reach out to children across six districts in Malawi since 2011.
He aims to reach out to an estimated 135,000 children by 2021.
