Tanzania relief agencies deployed as landslides kill at least 47
Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu has instructed relief agencies to be deployed to the Hanang District, Manyara region after heavy flooding.
The Tanzanian government said at least 47 people were killed in the northern region of the East African country because of mudslides.
In recent weeks, severe flooding caused by the El Nino weather phenomenon has killed hundreds of people in neighboring countries like Kenya and Somalia.
