Hamisi Kigwangalla, the east African nation’s Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, also ordered relevant authorities to put in place an electronic record of all aggressive wild animals in the 2020/2021 financial year.
He made the two orders at a meeting in the capital Dodoma to oversee management of human-wildlife conflicts.
Kigwangalla said that the special task force should be manned by professional game rangers to save the lives of people attacked by wild animals that stray from their habitats across the country.
Kigwangalla made the order as cases of people attacked by animals, especially by elephants and crocodiles, have been reported to be on the increase.
Most of the victims in the attacks are from communities living near national parks and game reserves.
