China is celebrating its Lunar new year. Also widely known as the Chinese Spring Festival, the period is an annual practice of family reunification characterised by an astonishing scale of holiday travel and spending, as individuals rush to buy gifts and bond with their loved ones.
This years’ lunar new year is being marked on the 25th of January, with 2020 being the year of the Rat according to the traditional Chinese Zodiac.
